The Rev. Canon Stephen N. Brannon served as a parish priest and university chaplain from 1969 to 2005 and as Chancellor of Province VIII of the Episcopal Church from 1989 to 2000. He and his wife Barbara are the parents of three grown children and are now raising three Labrador Retrievers named Brix, Parisee, and Beulie. Steve is an avid railroad buff.

Dr. James J. Rawls is a graduate of Stanford University and received his Ph.D. in history from the University of California, Berkeley. A licensed lay preacher in the Episcopal Church, he is the author or editor of more than two dozen books. He and his wife Linda are "empty nesters," having raised a son and a daughter, both of whom are now twenty-something. Jim's avocation is bird watching.
